Telehealth

Telehealth is a great way for you to continue or start services with your counselor. Exciting research on Telehealth shows that it is JUST AS EFFECTIVE as face to face sessions!

Some of the benefits of Telehealth include: care during public health crisis or personal illness, accommodation for busy schedules, and it helps with transportation or mobility issues.

The therapists at Sugar Pine Counseling hold licenses to provide services to folks who are located in the state of Idaho at the time of session. There are some states that we are allowed to see clients in for short amounts of time, however this varies from state to state. Please talk to your therapist before starting services and as services continue about where you are located during the time of session.

Tips for Telehealth

Make sure you are in a quiet location where you can speak openly and freely during sessions to gain the most benefit from your counseling. Some clients find that they may need to go into a room on the other side of the house from others, go in the garage or even go in their car to ensure privacy.  Make sure you have a good internet connection and have downloaded Zoom or Spruce depending on what your therapist uses for telehealth. Your therapist will be in a private location as well to protect your confidentiality.
